I have been going through my wardrobe for the past few weeks, trying to sort out my clothes. All the shirts, dresses, skirts, pants. Never have I felt that I needed more space to stuff all these pieces of clothing into.

Coincidentally, during Syamaail Muhammadiyah (or Hero's class) last night, Ustaz Zahid went through the topic of clothing ( of the prophet s.a.w ).

Never did I know that it is actually a sunnah to present old clothes that we do not wear anymore ( and of course in good condition, need I say .. ) as presents to other people. Another ( less guilty route for us, hehe ) is of course to donate our old clothing.

So next time any of us find a piece of clothing in good condition which happens to be too small, or we happen to not wear it out at all, may we donate or turn them into presents instead, may Allah will it be.

We should also correct our niat when we purchase new clothing.

Im a teenager, just like most of you. And I too have made the mistake of making the wrong niat when purchasing clothing.

For example :
1- "Oh this skirt / shirt is nice, Im sure this would look nice on a date with [insert special someone] "
2- "What a nice shirt, it looks expensive, certainly this would impress people"

Astaghfirullah, may Allah forgive us for having such niat. Indeed, I agree to making this mistake, and so did many others. But may we seek forgiveness and gain His forgiveness, in syaa Allah!

Let us make our niat to purchase clothing for the sake of Allah. For the sake of doing good. For the sake of covering our aurah properly.
